The Arktikum Science Centre popularizes Arctic research and science through exhibitions, school programmes and public events.
Arctic Opposites is the permanent exhibition at the science centre, which takes visitors from the twilight and blizzards of the dark to a summer full of light, colour and sound.
The science centre also hosts several temporary exhibitions each year.

Arktikum in Rovaniemi is a science centre, museum, attraction, popular culture destination as well as a memorable venue for meetings and conferences.

Library at the Arktikum
The library at the Arktikum is open for tourists, researchers, students, local people and visitors. The collections of the library include books, journals and electronic material on Arctic, Antarctic and northern issues within various disciplines.
- Tuesday to Friday between 10 am to 4 pm.
During summertime
- 2.6.–15.8.: from 10 am to 3 pm
- 19.6.: from 10 am to 1 pm
