Four Arctic Centre director candidates to be interviewed
The University of Lapland Board has on 24th August
decided to invite four Arctic Centre director candidates for an interview: Jouni
Aspi (Oulu), Matthias Finger (Lausanne), Timo Koivurova (Rovaniemi) and Philip
Wookey (Edinburgh). The board aims to be ready to choose the next Director in its
meeting on early November.
All four candidates have a proven
qualification for professorship. In total 13 candidates applied for the position.
The University board selection group consists of Raimo Väyrynen
(chair), Marja Vaarama (vice chair), Matti Hepola (Chair of the AC board) and Mauri
Ylä-Kotola (rector).
