New Arctic Migration thematic network of the University of the Arctic (UArctic) focuses on newfound problems and challenges in the field of migration along the side of the already existing ones. The overall objective is to establish and build an international network of scholars, experts, influencers and policy makers to solve out the challenges and problems related to migration in the Arctic.

The thematic network organizes series of workshops, seminars
and conferences to share and disseminate knowledge. The new network is one of the
seven new thematic networks of UArctic and it will be hosted by the Arctic Centre at
the University of Lapland together with Akureyri University and University of
Tromso.

At the moment the network consists 34 researchers
from recognized universities, institutions and organizations of Arctic and
non-Arctic countries, e.g. Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Russia,
Estonia, Canada, United Kingdom, Austria, Poland, America, France, Japan and
Germany. All interested researchers, institutes and organizations are welcome to be
a part of the network.

Seven New Thematic Networks
